Gemona has adventure sports to offer, too! paragliding is practiced here, with a flying school, special events and two-seater sight-seeing flights from mount Cuarnan.
A.S.D. Volo Libero Friuli is a paragliding association based in Gemona, where it holds events, runs a paragliding school and offers two-seater sight-seeing flights. Take the road called Strada di Foredôr from Gemona to the Malga Cuarnan. Then walk along the path through the beech woods to the big meadow on Mount Cuarnan from which the paragliders take off, 1200 metres above the plains below. The safe landing site is just outside the town.
